Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) titanium anode, or DSA (Dimensionally Stable Anode) and DSE (Dimensionally Stable Electrode) are types of titanium anodes with a coating. This coating gives them good electric catalytic activity and electrical conductivity as it is brushed onto the titanium substrate.
Adding this coating makes titanium anodes more effective and efficient, meaning that they can be used for a variety of applications. This coating also ensures that the anodes are more durable and can withstand harsh environments for longer periods of time.
Titanium anode is known for its stability in size, which means that the distances between each electrodes in the process remain the same. That makes it possible for the electrolytic process to be operated in the same condition and maintaining the same voltage.
More importantly, compared to other electrodes, this type of anode mainly features low operating voltage and low power consumption, making it possible for the DC power consumption to be reduced by 10% to 10%. It also has high anti-corrosion capability & lasting working life.
In addition, Titanium anode is also capable of overcoming the dissolving problem of graphite anode and lead anode in the electrolyte and avoiding product contamination. It has properties of high current density, small overpotential, and high catalytic activity which effectively improves the efficiency of production.
Moreover, it can easily avoid the short circuit of the lead anode after deformation problem, further improving the current efficiency. It is easy to shape and has high degree of refinement. The titanium substrate can even be reused. The product has a black surface with a uniform coating, along with multiple features such as strong endurance, low chlorine-evolution potential, extended service life, and high current efficiency.
It has a working current range of 2000A/㎡ to 10000A/㎡, is designed for working temperatures of 25～80℃, and can tolerate a PH range of 0～14 (except for HCI). The coating metal consists of Ru, Ru+Ir, Ru+Ir+Sn, Rare earth+Ru, etc, and Ruthenium content can be as low as 8g/㎡ while coating thickness is 2～10μm.
