Principle
The core of the Week Alkaline Water Ionizer is the membrane electrolytic cell, which is equipped with positive and negative electrodes inside. When tap water enters the electrolytic cell, under the action of direct current, the water molecules undergo electrolysis reaction.
At the cathode, water molecules gain electrons to generate hydrogen gas (H₂) and hydroxide ions (OH⁻), making the water near the cathode alkaline. At the anode, water molecules lose electrons to generate oxygen gas (O₂) and hydrogen ions (H⁺), making the water near the anode acidic. A membrane is used to separate the anode and cathode to prevent the substances generated at the anode and cathode from mixing.
Characterisitics of Weak Alkaline Water
1. Weakly alkaline: pH=7.0~10.0, which meets the human body's needs for a weakly alkaline environment and maintains the body's acid-base balance.
2. Negative potential: OPR = -150mV ~ -350mV, which helps to remove waste such as " excess free radicals " in the body .
3. Rich in hydrogen: Hydrogen concentration is 0.2~0.6ppm , which improves the body's antioxidant capacity.
4. Small molecule clusters: Small molecular clusters consisted of 3 to 6 water molecules are 1/3 the size of tap water and are easier for the human body to absorb.
5. Active mineralization: It contains appropriate amounts of minerals and trace elements to supplement the needs of the human body.
