5000 - 7000 ppm Sodium Hypochlorite Generator / Salt Water Electrolysis System
Geemblue series sodium hypochlorite generator include electrolytic cell, internal water softener, salt saturator as well as dosing pumps. The unit complies with requirements and safety regulations regarding storage of products containing sodium hypochlorite, thus making a separate room for storage unnecessary. Note that this product does NOT contain chlorine gas and the electrolysis do not generate wastewater and do not require cooling/heating.
System Flow Chart
① Influent water passes through a water softener to reduce hardness therefore reducing the scaling of electrodes and lengthening the cleaning time
② Salt is dissolved by softened water into saturated brine in the tank.
③ The saturated brine will be diluted into 2.5%-3%, then pass through the electrolytic cell and finally be electrolyzed into 0.8% solution of sodium hypochlorite.
④ The 0.8% hypochlorite solution flows into a storage tank. Hydrogen, the only byproduct of the process, is safely vented to the atmosphere.
⑤ The residual chlorine detector will monitor residual chlorine and return feedback to the PLC center. According to preset standards, the PLC Center will adjust the speed of the dosing pump.
WHICH IS THE IDEAL DISINFECTANT?
A. Chlorine Gas—this is too dangerous to handle and not safe in residential areas. Most of the times, they are not available.
B. Bleaching Powder—Calcium Hypochlorite is effective, but the whole process of mixing, settling and disposing off of the sludge is very messy and cumbersome. This makes the whole area dirty. Moreover, the bleaching powder absorbs moisture during monsoon or in wet surroundings and emits chlorine gas, making the bleaching power lose its strength.
C. Liquid Bleach—Liquid Chlorine or Sodium Hypochlorite is very effective. This is in liquid form so very easy to handle. But the commercially available Liquid Chlorine is not only expensive but loses its strength over a period of time and becomes water. The danger of spillage is a common problem.
D. Sodium hypochlorite generator—Very effective, economical, safe and easy to prepare and use. This is the latest technology being adopted in most nations.
