Electrolyser (electrodes or electrolysis cell) is designed for producing NaOH, Cl2 and H2 in the chlor-alkali industry through seawater, which is stable and safety running onsite.
We not only provide complete Sodium hypochlorite generation system, but also the core component of machine-----electrodes. The electrodes is made of pure Titanium, with ruthenium & iridium oxide coating which ensure over 5 years coating life, over 18 years base material, reduce the chlorine evolution potential and electricity consumption.
The anode undergoes oxidation reaction between chloride ions and hydroxide ions, produces products such as Cl2 and HClO. A series of chloralkali industrial raw materials and products including sodium hypochlorite, NaOH, Cl2 and H2 are produced by electrolysis of concentrated seawater. At the same time, these available chlorines also kill sea creatures for marine anti-fouling.
Seawater electrolysis. It is applied to the production of NaOH, Cl2 and H2 in the chlor-alkali industry or ammonia production by electrolysis of concentrated seawater, and it can be applied for seawater pollution prevention as well. Due to the harsh electrolytic environment, the life of ordinary electrodes is extremely short and the effect is not as good as that of the helium electrodes.
Titanium Anode Production Process
Titanium anode is a kind of electro-catalysis electrode in electro-chemistry, which is composed by substrate that is pure titanium and coated that is precious metal oxide.
1. Substrate treatment:
It needs to be treated by roughing, cleaning and removing oil, which can increase the compactness of catalytic.
2. Brushing & Drying:
After substrate treatment, it will be proceeded brush coated. The main coated content is platinum group metal, which is a kind of mixed solution.
3. Heat Treatment:
Heat treatment will be proceed after drying.
The whole procedure need to be repeated many times. This method is better to form thin oxide catalytic that is lamellar adhere to substrate surface.
